Welcome World Volleyball Consulting

Coach Felipe Coronel
Xtreme Volleyball welcomes World Volleyball Consulting into the organization:

Felipe Coronel III, owner of World Volleyball Consulting, provides specialized training, development and implementation of volleyball skills and strategies for clients worldwide. Coronel utilizes his extensive knowledge in the fast-paced sport of volleyball to direct, guide, and instruct coaches and players alike, improving their current skill set while facilitating maximum growth potential.

Starting his career as a volleyball coach in Houston, TX with Xtreme Volleyball Club, Coronel discovered a need for coaches to become more knowledgeable in volleyball strategy in order to drive continuous improvement. He began to realize his vision by joining Sports Performance Volleyball Club, the nation’s leading program, which holds more national championships than any other organization.

It was at Sports Performance that Coronel gained the knowledge, expertise and credentials now being utilized to help others raise their game to the next level. Serving as Director of Youth Programs for the Club from 2006–2008, he was Master Coach for all K – 8th grade teams and directly accountable for the training and development of all players. While serving as Head Coach of the 14 Elite team that achieved national recognition, his teams:

• won their respective Power League for three consecutive seasons
• earned a silver medal in 2006
• finished eleventh overall in the 14 Open in 2007
• qualified for the 2007 USAV National Tournament
• earned a bronze medal in 2008 in the Open Division at the JVDA Championship in Kentucky
• took fifth overall at the AAU Championships in 2008

Coronel also developed and implemented extensive training programs for the 15-16-year old teams at Sports Performance for three seasons. During this time, he conducted a youth coach’s clinic, teaching other coaches how to run effective practices, write training plans, conduct drills for development and improvement, along with other useful tools to advance volleyball programs in the area.

As a guest speaker at clinics in Michigan, California and Kentucky, Coronel has taught coaches and players the finer points of setting, attacking, defense, youth training & development, how to implement mini-volleyball into organizations around the country and overall program development.

In addition to his love for teaching others, Coronel enjoys both domestic and international travel and continuously learning more about how to improve in the sport of volleyball so that others may benefit from his love of the game.
